When I was stationed in Naples Italy there were 7 companies that were selling what they called milk
and there was big problems as some children died
from that crap! As far back as I can remember I never
drank any milk. In my younger days BEER!!!

Locals always bought milk direct from the farm and same for pork and beef.

Many still are very particular about where food comes from.

They really distrust processed and packaged grocery meat and dairy saying it could come from anywhere...

With all the stories that I have read about JD I would never spend a penny for one. You can bad mouth Fendts all you like but FACTS ARE FACTS no other tractors can compare with them! JD company has deserted the farmer, if your tractor breaks down in the field you can't fix it you have to wait for days for a JD tech to come and fix it! HOW THRILLING! Just makes you more time to sit on the porch in your rocker and watch your tractor sit out in the field that's a no go! I wonder if all the one's that have something different to say about the Fendt tractors have they ever seen one? I really don't think so because their comments would not be the same. The little JD riding lawn mowers are really cheaply made as the mower deck the metal is so weak that the brackets that hold the deck to the tractor pull right out of the deck and you have to have a special unit to weld it because a regular welder will not work! I do believe there are many law suits against JD a whole bunch of them:

On the 48 hr loaner offer from Fendt, it’s 48 “business hours”. Assuming an 8 hr work day, that’s 8 days when you include the weekend, not the 2 days you likely assume when you see a 48 hr guarantee.

That said, I think Fendt fills a massive gap in everyone else produc lines. From an $80k 60hp HST tractor, up to a 13,000lb, 100+HP, $200k tractor with a CVT or IVT, you can only get a manual transmission. Maybe it’s synchronized, and maybe even power shift, but you are still manually shifting between fixed gears. That essentially all small to mid size utility tractors. Fendt is the only company to offer a 9k lb, 100hp tractor with an IVT.

I’m real interested in that, but have the same issues as others with no dealer any closer than 6 hrs.
