On point 2: If you get a backhoe with a subframe, much safer, it takes about 5 min. to remove and go back to 3 pt. On point 3: My little B21 has dug a bunch of stumps, not fast but gone. Now that we shot down 1,2,& 3, add to the wish list.

Great post! You attracted some very useful replies, especially for us other beginners. I'm actually a pre-beginner -- still sitting by the phone waiting for the call that says my tractor is in.

I will be starting out with a loader and box scraper, but despite Del's negative experience with his brush hog I intend that to be my first addition. Some of the choices are pre-determined by the tasks at hand, no? I actually can relate to what Del says, though. Last weekend I spent several hours with my DR Trimmer/Mower on what is currently some very dry grass and dry ground. There were times I had to wait for the dust to settle just so I could see where I was going again. If my lungs looks like the rest of me did, I'll have to inhale some RoundUp come spring. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

Del - that bucket rake thingy looks great! It looks like you have to punch a bunch of holes in the sides of your bucket, though -- is this an okay thing to do? (Be gentle. I'm new at this.) /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I'm starting to get the picture now -- tractors are for digging a big hole to pour your money into.

On the positive side, my property is right in the heart of California gold country. Who knows what I might scrape up. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

You're gettin' it, Harv. Did you see "The Money Pit", one of Tom Hanks's lesser efforts, but telling.

Goin' to bed. Taking TN90F to doctor Bender tomorrow (factory guy) at dealer's. Oh, fun, 115 mi.x2 with 8000# on my rear end.
