Implements section of user\'s profile

Did this section of the profile get shortened? I remember I had mine all set at one point, but it's now been truncated.

There is another thread going on about the importance of keeping the profile up-to-date, so I went and made sure mine was okay. I found I had to eliminate most of the information on the implements to make it fit. I used to have stuff like "JD 272 rear finish mower", but now have shortened it to "rear mower."

It's okay with me.. but I wonder if this was intentional.. or was it merely a side-effect of something else that changed?

I no longer bother to update my profile. I have lost track of how many times I have edited it to replace information that was once there but continually seems to disappear. After reading your post, I checked mine out of curiosity and my list of attachments has once again been deleted down to just my rake. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I also noticed that 3/4 of my implement profile got lopped off, so I also shortened everything from specifics to just generalities of each item. (i.e. from First Choice 60 inch Rear Finish Mower to just Rear Finsh Mower)

/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm going out to the barn to make sure my implements haven't *really* all disappeared! It would be a drag to have to keep buying new ones.... /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

If I counted right mine is 116 characters. I would think that the MySQL variable character field for this would be at least 250 or so characters. Muhammad?

It's 200 characters.

What happens is when you go to edit your profile, anything past a quote mark (") won't be read, even thought it submits fine.

I carefully made sure I didn't use any quotes of any sort (single or double) back when this first became an issue. I seem to recall you having fixed that problem anyway?

Mine was fine after saving it and checking it over the next few days.. then I forgot about it (ran out of money for new implements... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think something else is going on.....

I agree that it must be something else, because I had the same problem and was not using any "Quotation marks".

I just realized that I was using " for the inch abbreviation, like 60" rotary cutter. My bad.
