Imported Quick Hitch Extended Hook

I'm confused. You call it an "Imported Quick Hitch Extended Hook". Then you say "It's all made in the USA". Which is it? Not a big deal, but I'm curious.

Light went off in my head. It's for an imported quick hitch but is made in the good old USA. Good stuff.

Very cool new product. I would like to order a set of the hook, and the pins, but have questions first. On my Titan QH, I noticed that the existing top hook bolt holes in the QH frame are smaller in diameter than the holes in the top hook itself. Can you tell me if your pin diameter on your pin set is made to just slip through the hook holes, or is it smaller in diameter, in order to fit through the QH frame holes? Or are you noticing that on other "brand" imports, are the hook holes the same size as the frame holes?

I had bought a set of pins locally, using my hook as a guide, then found my frame holes were smaller. Kind of derailed the entire project (until spring thaw anyway), as I'm not really relishing the idea of drilling out all of those frame holes to the larger pin size.

Correct me if I'm wrong but....

I modified all of my implements so that the hook stays at the same height. That way I don't ever have to move the top hook. To my way of thinking that just seems to be the proper way to do things.

Yes I realize that I'm handy etc and have the tools. I guess I just don't want to be bothered with moving the hook to accommodate different implements.

Correct. Making impliments match the 3pt hitch standard is the right way to do it. TractorData.com - Three-Point Hitch mentions the ISO standard number. You can just hitch up & not need to adjust everything.

Not everybody has the tools, skill or time to retrofit their impliments. I've modified several of mine over the years. I have yet to sort out the Gannon box box blade though. I may at one point. But for now, it's the only impliment I need to adjust the QH hook height for.

I don't know about your Titan QH, or other specific varieties. This is why I gave the measurements in the picture and in the description.

Yes, I get all that. The issue for some implements though is the frame that holds the hook gets in the way and causes binding, I guess you can move the hole locations some on the implement so solve this, but this is the real advantage of this extended hook. See the two iMatch pictures below for what I'm talking about. The pins are just an option for those that do need to move the hook, you can certainly just bolt it in place like the regular hook.

On my Northern Tool QH , I reamed the holes in the hook and the holes in the "ears " on the QH itself to .501 diameter so that I could use the 1/2 inch D handle pins so that I could change the height of the hook easier to fit all my older implements. I like the idea of extending the hook further out and plan on getting one for my Christmas present. Good luck to all on your projects.

Just to be clear on this. I like the idea of your hook. I'm just not the type that wants to get off of the tractor to move the hook up or down.
