Importing and modifying a new mini excavator from China

I got a Yanmar 35hp diesel on my sawmill and love it.

What sawmill do you have? Bandsaw or circular?

Love those Yanmars, but they cost half or more of the whole mini-X. The ChangChai or Koop Diesels normally sold with these minis do not cost any more than the gasoline units.

It's a Woodmizer LT40HD Wide bandsaw. Wide meaning can cut 36 inch logs.

It's finally here I will get more pictures soon. Definitely very jerky and can drag itself around just fine. It will take some getting used to.

Oops. Looks like they forgot to install the intake cooling air duct. The one that replaces the pull-starter. Can't see any oil cooler or hyd filter.

Very nice sawmill, Brandi! Working with someone now who just bought the LT15 Wide WoodMizer. Handles 36" logs but no hydraulics like yours. Did not know you could get the Yanmar diesel with that. Envious.

Do you have a picture of the air duct that is missing? Theres no filter or cooler from what I can tell. Definitely will have to look into getting them.

Not sure if it was mentioned earlier in this thread, but can you buy one without the engine? I have a couple 16-34hp Kubota diesels sitting around that should work well in one of these.

Yes talk to a manufacturer on Alibaba they will build it to your specifications.

Only hassle I had was waiting on it to arrive. Other than that I greased it, checked the fluids, drove it off the back of my truck, and put it to work. I couldn't find anything below $15,000 when I looked for something used in good shape.
