Put rear chains on R-4 but the wet snow had built up to much during the day, 18 to 24" to much for the B7800.

A snowblower is a good thing to have when 24" arrives. Perhaps you would be prudent to call in some reinforcements with equipment that can handle the situation? Sometimes your best tool is the telephone.

I am sure you realize this at this point but for future reference I will point it out. I only had a B2150 at one point and learned the hard way that you must keep up with the snow as it is occurring, especially with a small tractor. That little tractor is a horse for its size but when it gets too deep there is nothing you can do. Also note, if you think it might be a big snow, start way out to the sides so you can work the snow out without it getting too deep to handle (I learned that the hard way also). Just something to keep in mind for the next time.
Remember, if your power is still on it could be much worse. Good luck to you.
