So, are there any reasons I should consider getting them, other than FEL work and snow removal? For the amount of FEL work I do, and how it's pieced in here and there between mopw jobs, I can't see me really changing tires when I put the loader on for a day or two. Will they do much better on asphalt for snow removal? I just knoiw the day I decide I need them, they'll be up to $1,000.

R4s aren't a good solution for snow removal.

Not that flexible and they will fill and become racing slicks.

My main uses are snow removal and mowing and my dealer wouldn't talk anything but turf for those purposes.

Only one of these has turfs and that's simply because it had them on it when I bought it.
It it would have been fine with me had it came with the AGs.
I have discovered a spinning turf does more damage than a non slipping AG and spin easier than AGs.
Ags are more aggresive. LB isn't telling you the whole story about his ags. He usually always shows pictures of his 3 BX's but this time he didn't. I seem to remember he has other than ags on his other tractors.

Lbrowns missing picture with turfs. I couldn't get any words to add to previous post of picture.
robertm, what tires are you getting with your BX2660? One of the reasons for the I4/R4 is the between AG and Turf tires for mixed uses and to help users to not have to switch out tires. I get turfs on BX's for mowing and I4/R4's on B's for FEL and other jobs. I plan on trading for a BX2660 MMM FEL with Barlows Equipment if they will do the trade and I plan on getting turf tires on it.

I have both turfs and R4's. I use the turfs most of the time. They work better for me on the grass and for plowing snow. I finally tried the R4's plowing later in the spring when we got a late snow and was caught off guard. I was using them for a woods clean-up earlier. They did the job pushing the snow, but the turfs provides much better traction. The R4's are really great when using the loader heavy and extensively. There is also some advantage when the terrain is a little sloppy.

I ended up with the same rationality for uses of the tires. If I were to only have one set for my BX applications it would be the turfs as they are on most of the time. You'll love that new BX2660.

I've got the turfs with my new BX2660, but got excited when I was quoted $300 for the set of R4's. I was going to buy a set of turfs for the B7510 before I traded it off to try and help minimize tearing up of the lawn. Because the B7510 is discontinued, supposedly their price shot way up (even though they are still used on the current model B2920).

Ironically, as I type this, I am taking a late call... and this dealre says close to $900 for the set of turfs to fit the "late" B7510. They are only a week late since I called them. I guess business must be booming for them. With the BX sitting in the barn, I guess I won't need thise turfs.

So, because I was quoted closer to $1,000 for the B turfs earlier this year, I assumed the BX tires (R4's) would be close to $800 to $1,000, too. Now that I find the BX R4's run about $300 all day long, I'm in no hurry. I mow 85% of the time, so turfs are what I need. R4's would just be an added convenience for a lot of loader work, but I rarely can dedicate the tractor to R4's for a long period of time since I use the BX to mow frequently. As I hear turfs are better for snow traction, I'll just keep the turfs on all the time.
