Input wanted from current Ram 1500 owners

Well, my truck didn't come in yesterday (had to get one in with the 3.92 axle), so still no pics. Supposed to be here today. Impatiently waiting...

Good move on the gears. I always get the deepest gears possible. It's a truck, not a commuter car.

I have a 2002 model. It has a overall average of 15.1 MPG over the 55,000 miles I have driven it. It has the small V8 and has plenty of power for me. But the mileage isn't any better than the Hemi engine. Has bee trouble free so far. Have had to replace a fuse, once about 2 years back and recharged the freon last year. The only other expenses have been maintenance items.

Well I finally got my truck. Took it on a little break-in trip the weekend (about 400 miles) and I like it already. A lot. It returned 19.8 mpg on the return trip through some small hills in southern Mississippi, and has averaged 17.6 overall, including some nasty gridlock idling when we got back to Baton Rouge yesterday evening. Here she is in our driveway Thursday when I brought her home.

Awesome! I am going to be getting a truck in a month or so (my car lease runs out), and have been leaning towards the ram. I need to do another test drive of the ford and ram just to narrow it down. I am looking at a 2013 v8 8speed transmission. I am pricing out different trim levels now, looks like sport vs the Laramie have the most options. Congrats on getting a great looking truck!!
