Hi, what I want to do is install this small FEL on my Kubota B7100HST-E. I have had this loader on 2 other small garden tractors starting with a Wheel Horse, and a MF-12. It was no problem there, since I used a pump for it as a direct drive or belt drive to the engine. What I want to know is, can I hook this to the hydraulics on the Kubota and do away with the extra pump. All the lines on this FEL is only 1/4" in I.D. The bucket is only 3' wide, so its not a really heavy load. I am in the process now of adapting it to the Kubota, so it will not be long before I am ready to hook up Hydraulics. The loader is a Johnson Workhorse, but I have no idea what model it is, since the decals were painted over. thanks for any help. zman

There should be a block by the foot rest.

Yes you should be able to dump the extra pump.... Send it to me... and as Art said, there is a block on the side of your engine it is about 4 inches long and 2 inches tall about an inch thick on my rig that has some plugs in it. Hopeful it will be clear which is the outlet plug and which is the inlet, but you hook it in there and you should be all set.

You will need to remove the solid block and either purchase or make a new tap in block with holes drilled and tapped for hydraulic hoses. The origional one on your tractor does not have the connection for the hoses and has an internal passage to allow the oil to flow from the front port from the pump to the rear port that goes to the 3PH. The tap in block that you need to buy or make can not have the internal passage. Do a search for "Power steering on a B7100" there is quite a bit of info about how to add extra hydraulics to this tractor. If you do use the tap in block the valve for you loader should be equipped with a power beyond valve because the 3 PH will be downstream from the loader valve.

Kubota sam, The valve I have on the FEL is an open center valve. Is that the same as power thru? thanks

I just checked the block on the tractor and it has one line going thru it, and the only plug on it is in the outside part, in the front. It looks like a 1/4 plug.

An open center valve may or may not be a power beyond valve. It depends on if it was origionally designed to have another hydraulic component running "beyond" it in the hydraulic circuit. On the valve look for to see if the return line that goes back to the hydraulic reseviour comes from a port on the valve marked PB. Many valve are designed so you can add power beyond to them but you will need to research your exact valve to see if that option is available.
People do use the valves without power beyond and get away with it. However a valve without power beyond is not designed to have full hydraulic pressure on the return line side of the valve.

I just looked in my owners manual and according to it, I can hook an implement to the directional control valve under the seat. Is this possible to use it? thanks

Yes I believe that will work fine. Also if you use that valve I don't think you will need to worry about the loader valve being power beyond. The valve under the seat you referred to will direct the flow of hydraulic power either to the loader or the 3 point hitch but not to both at the same time.
