Looking for ideas to insulate the roof on a pole barn. Had planned to use fiberglass batts so did not put any insulation under the metal roof during construction. Roof is already sweating even though the garage doors aren't on yet. If I use the fiberglass batts will the batts get wet? Planned to use batts with a moisture barrier any ideas if that will stop the condensation?

There are several very good older threads on this. Very short oversimplified answer - spray on foam if you are leaving the ceiling open, if you are adding a ceiling blown in cellulose on the ceiling, nothing on the bottom of the roof.

I agree with KennyG but if you add a ceiling the area above the ceiling needs to be ventilated.
