Insurance - who/what/where/when (I know why!) :-)

I can tell you most homeowner policies will not cover equipment off property, while it is being transported, and some won't even pay for accidental damage (who intentially hits a stump???). As some posters noted, KTAC has a vested interest in Kubota customers being happy. They make money off selling tractors not insurance so this is their way of keeping you hooked on Kubota (which is fine with me). I know because they paid off my loan and gave me every penny I paid for my BX just because I bought a new one from them (I think they called it a replacement option)!

My guess is the insurance bought thru Kubota (or any tractor company) only will cover the tractor. What about the liability issue from operating your tractor--especially off your premises operation? If you do operate off premises it's would be advisable to double check with your insurance agent as most homeowners policies won't cover this.

Yeah, I used my homeowner's policy for my BX24 and BX1850, but I went ahead and got the Kubota insurance for the L3700SU I just bought. It is far more comprehensive than a home owner policy and you can take your tractor anywhere and it will be covered.
