Just to let you know KTAC, the adjuster was the deciding factor. My insurance agent quoted me a "Grounds Maintenance Policy" which was very close to what you offer for less money. This is also the the same company that tried to screw me on hail damage to residence and Fifth wheel Rv ( 2 different incidences ) and both times the adjusters were a**holes. Knowing my dealer takes care of everything made all the difference to me. I hope I never need to use the insurance, but at least I know I will be treated fairly.

I purchased my sixth Kubota Tractor two years ago, I financed it through Kubota, I was told I must take their insurance, or show proof that my home owners cover the tractor. I called my insurance, Travelers, and tractor was cover fully under my homeowners, Travelers signed the fourm and I was able to purchase with additional insurance. I have owned Kubota equipment for 30 years, never had a reason to make a claim, never a serious break down or any expensive repairs. Personally I think insurance is great for a home, great for auto's for the libablity, but when it comes to repairs it's useless, insurance polices want repairs must be done by a tech, there is always something in small print, used parts, remanufactured parts. Invest your money where it will make money,it has worked for me!

Kubota 2007... I respect your opinion when it comes to how to invest your money even if I may disagree with it. Normally, I wouldn't take the time to correct someone because I believe everyone has the right to their own opinion and mine isn't anymore valuable (except this time). You are completely wrong with your opinon on insurance. A homeowner policy does not fully cover a tractor per your finance terms. Trust me... I have more insurance licenses than anyone in this country (credit life, property, casualty, accident, health, and in all 50 states) so I know what I am talking about. I am not saying that to brag because it really isn't that hard. KTAC isn't a typical insurance company so I took offense when you state "insurance polices want repairs must be done by a tech, there is always something in small print, used parts, remanufactured parts". The truth is we want our customers to go to an authorized Kubota dealer and we pay for Kubota parts, not the cheap remanufactured parts. The fact is Kubota makes great products and it ain't cheap if you do have to repair damage caused by something out of your control (flood for example). I am not saying you have to use KTAC, just be sure you are looking at the risks of using a home owner policy (claim against your tractor impacts the potential of premium increasing on the coverage for your house). Sorry for the rant... just passionate when it comes to being lumped in with "insurance companies". :)

as an added note to above post... beware if your ins agent tells you...ya its covered. Have him really check into it. My agent first told me that it was included, but i had him really dig deeper and check it out wiith underwriters.... Came to find out...nope, it wasnt. not without a rider.

The time to find out is before you have a claim

Totally agree here... insurance guys usually say yes first. I then give them a specific and they say, well let me check for sure. Then I ask for it in writing. Then sometimes, "oh, you will need a rider". In my brief comparison between KTAC and my homeowner's policy, all things considered, I decided on KTAC was best for me.

I checked my HO ins and it only covers fire, theft and some natural disasters. If I roll the machine or wreck it on my property it's not covered. As soon as I cross my property line, not covered. On the trailer, not covered. To get a rider would have been $600 per year..Through KTAC, around $160 for my BX23 and that is full coverage for everything, more than fair.

My RTV1100 is another story..$300 per year for 19K in coverage...I'm gonna have to do it but that premium is getting expensive on that one given the damage I can do with a TLB vs an RTV.

KTAC, I can see your standing behind what YOU SELL. Insurance is a business, business's need to make money. I'm a consumer, I need to be Smart how I spend my money, never used or needed additional Tractor Insurance, so I'm ahead of the game. What I saved by not purchasing unnecessary Insurance, I can put that money towards a new tractor. I'm a firm believer, if an item or service is a good deal it will sell itself, the fact someone needs to point out why this insurance is better than any other insurance make me wonder! Happy Thanksgiving.

In my area no one can touch KTAC's rates and coverage. I shopped around for insurance on my BX23 and the cheapest I could find was $600 on a commercial policy...I only want the insurance so it's covered when transporting it or God forbid I would have an accident....I insure everything I own, peace of mind for me and in the case of the BX, less than $200 per year...The RTV is getting a little expensive though..I have no affinity whatsoever with KTAC, they just have a good product at a generally fair price.
