Where can interchange parts numbers be found to convert newer Briggs parts to older engines. I know Briggs made several models and cylinder bores, but used a lot of internal parts from previous model engines, such as rods, pistons.
In the past I have interchanged Briggs parts to fit some old Clintons.
Just wondered if there are any alternatives out there besides trial and error. Thanks

I know Briggs published a CD that showed interchanges for motors but have never seen one published for parts. They did publish a CD that has the Illistrated parts liests for engines made up to around 2007 or 08. They may have a newer version of this now also.
