Just joined and looking forward to participating.

I have 5 acres, with 2 as lawn 1/2 other landscape.

6 weeks ago I purchased a Cub Cadet XT2 Enduro LX54, Kawasaki engine. I got it primarily because it has a locking differential and some of the property is hilly. Former mower, 42 inch Craftsman, would not start on the hill so I had to always back down and get a run at it. XT2 worked great on the hills - no complaints at all in that department. Only problem was the locking differential caused the tractor to push real badly when the triple bagger was about 2/3rd's full. The inability to corner was extremely frustrating.

Went back to the dealer, who contacted the factory, and was told the push was expected - that there is a trade-off between the traction of the locking differential and the ability to turn tight corners.

Bottom line - the dealer, THE POWER SHOP in Centralia WA, went the extra mile and offered a very friendly deal that allowed me to trade up to the GS54, a model that does not have a locking differential. Hats off to that dealer. Cornering is no longer an issue.
