Rake Is a Harley power Rake worth the $$$???

That is a good point about the rake working well when used correctly. These things do take a lot of getting used to. When I first used mine I was very frustrated (and disappointed) for the first few days. However, as I figured out how to get it to perform my results improved drastically. Now I would never part with it. My biggest suggestion is not to set the blade to low at first as the larger material will quickly overwelm the rake and slow you down to a crawl.

The Landpride and Harley rakes run around the same price range.
The best prices I've gotten on the Harley T-6 and Landpride PR 1572 was around $6000.

The Pro models are simply different then the T-6 in the way they operate, the name Pro does not imply its better or designed for professionals. I use a Pro 8, I would really like to try a T-6. I have an old Pro 8 video which is actually what sold us on the product. The Pro models use a double roller with the bottom roller having multiple 1"X1" bars welded the full length of the roller, in our case, 8 ft long. The upper roller is smooth and of the same diameter. Both spin deflecting the material forward. The gap between the rollers is adjustable. Operating it takes a little practice, but no where near the effort of operating a boxblade efficiently. I ususally go through an area with my boxblade and rip it both ways. The soil being moist is best. Any clods the rippers make (lots of them) are eliminated by the Harley. IT IS AWESOME! We've had it since 1993 and it still is working beautifully with only two springs being replaced at a cost of $4.50 per spring and $8.00 shipping charge. Rat...

I did it!!! I found a dealer with a new T-5 model Harley rake for $4800.00 and bought it. After listening to all the prices, it appeared to be a good deal. Although it is only a 5' wide model I think it will be a great match-up with my B2910. Can't wait till spring to try-it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great lilttlediesel! Please keep us updated. I've been debating with myself wether to get the 2910 with the T5 or the 3130 with the six foot model. Hopefully you can post some action pictures in the not to distant future.

I will compare there weight. I have a very good chance to buy a new landpride at a low price this spring. The guys are very good to me, I guess that is why I have so much of there equipment. Sofar it is all very soild & it fits my quick hitch so why not.
So if I get a power rake I can sell my pulverizer and landscape rake?
