I use a 1" 90 degree sweep schedule 80 elbow from any big box hardware store held on with pipe clamps to feed the wire/cable. It helps to have one person drive the tractor while a helper feeds the wire/cable. I've use a middle buster without the furrow buster attached. I get about 4 to 6" depth. I would think a subsoiler would go several inches deeper.
I welded a piece of angle on mine and then put a two inch piece of conduit in it lay some pex it worked out alright for a first effort, ended up about 14 inches deep and 90 feet long.
Make multiple passes then lay in cable, that way large roots are already broken
that's what I did I made about 3 passes and then put the pipe in. I did dig a starter hole on the entrance and exit points.
