Is a tooth bar a good add on?

I got mine when I bought my tractor. There have been a few cases where I might not need it, like leveling, but other than that, it is on all the time. It is a night and day difference if you are trying to do any ground work. Well worth the cost.

I have a question to all of the seasoned FEL equiped tractorowners out there.
I have run smaller utility tractors (35-45 HP range) for about 20 years but the L4400 is the first one with a FEL. ere is the question, does a tooth bar really help a great deal when using the FEL? If so, what are the tricks of the trade in using one? Thanks guys.

I showed my wife the fact that the concenus on TBN is that I need a ToothBar for my bucket and these are the experts and know what they are talking about.LOL Thanks fellas I installed my tooth bar yesterday, I ordered a Woods tooth bar 72" off of E-Bay from Iowa farm equip for $380 delivered. It fit like a glove, after I took my bolt on cutter edge off. I will return the favor if the need arises.

Dex3361, you should have titled your post "Need to convince wife I need another toy" you would have got a hundred positive replies.:D

Hundreds if not thousands of people here on TBN have tooth-bars. If there ever was a warranty issue you would hear about it here.
