Is every Deere dealer inflexible on lawn & garden?

I have less than one acre of so called "grass". I simply hoped that I bought high a quality machine equaling the ones that were made in 1968-9 I was not complaining at all. I am and have been examining the issues I have with a limited income and the "Wonderful" State of New York burying my driveways with snow and ice and excess rock salt making ice dams causing water to dam up and become impounded and backing up hill 150 yards up the road from me in the drainage ditch and a blocked culvert on the absentee landlords property that they do not take care of or rip out as the entrance to the property is blocked.

0 % financing for X500 series right now-- get yourself a X590 47 inch snowblower and be set for next 20/25 years, can probably get both for under 200 bucks a month- Quality equipment will cost you - but it will last a long time, if you need to sell in 5 years you'll get a good chunk of your money back- if you take care of them they dont lose a lot of value

Riding mowers/ garden tractors don't hold their value like a CUT. There's another thread going on right now where a member, Farmbuilt, just bought a low hour (less than 100hrs) x590 for about 2/3 of what it would of cost new.

Leonz, to be fair that $1000 you would of spent on a riding mower in 1969 would be about $6000 in today's money. Over the decades I've had lots of cheap riding mowers and one expensive one. The cheap ones have always been built to a budget and last 10 years before needing some sort of major repair. What's kind of new is the use of a hydro rear axle. Way back when you got a 5 speed sequential gear box. Those gear boxes were pretty tough but not anywhere near as nice to operate. If you want something that will be build as well as a good quality one built in the late 60s you will need to spend an equal amount of money.
