I can understand you,I hope no second bin Laden stands up.
but with people like that, you never know.
when the twin towers burned and collapsed I lived in belgium.
it was big news, full of sadness we looked what happened.
we understood nothing,Who is doing something.
I am a motorcycle rider and each year every May I drive to the beaches of Normandy, you know d-day war,
We belgium do not forget what the usa for our freedom during World War II did.
there are many American soldiers sacrificed for our freedom in europ.
Last year I was one of those beaches to watch the sea and there was an old man next to me.
The man was a war veteran who has lain bleeding on the beach.
I asked if he could understand how a sick crazy man like ****** could carry such a war,yes now,now look at ***** bin Laden.
that made me realize how quickly we could end up in a war.
people like ***** are sick and crazy,Good thing he's dead.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you for your gratitude, I think I speak for all of us.

Unfortunatly we did end up in a war because of OBL. But unlike ******, who once he was dead the war was pretty much over. This war is so different you can't compare it to anything in the past.

I can not see an end to this war, ever :(

WWII was mainly caused by Chamberlain rolling over and allowing Germany to invade the Sudetenland.

Remember the rallies with all the people in love with the big H? there were many German people that saw the light and wanted no part of ******. When they stood up they ended in a camp or worse and they backed down.
Japan was very much the same.

That may have been the immediate causative act, but the punishment that was put upon Germany in the Treaty of Versaille all but guaranteed a future war. It was with this in mind that the USA undertook the Marshall Plan and the rebuilding of Japan after WW2....if you leave your enemy alive but without the means to have any hope of economic improvement, you've pretty much guaranteed he will remain an enemy. Obviously in both cases our government believed the enemy had been the governments involved rather than the populace. Different situation than the war on terror, which has no real nation-based operations.

The point is first you beat them into the ground no holds bard, then control them to change their attitude, that is what Gen MacArthur did.

General Transit you are way over your head discussing history and geopolitics. Your naive reactionary views are ludicrous and wrong. As noted the causes of WW2 had relatively little to do with Chamberlin's obvious gaffs and your assessment of how the Japanese were "controlled" is equally naive. Read books rather than spending so much time blathering.

The more I look at ******, there was never "enough." It wasn't "enough" to conquer one country or the next. The author William L. Shirer said that WWII was plainly "******'s war." I think there is significant truth in his observation. As long as there was ******, there was ******'s war which spread and spread and spread until it was dealt with by the allies. And when it became apparent that the war was lost, ****** threw the ****** youth and anything else he could in the way of the allies to buy more time for himself before he committed suicide. Before going, he tested the poison he was going to take on his own dog. ****** was like an open grave that was never satisfied.

Yes, first attack your opponent, change the subject. Do as you wish. It took weeks for Japanese papers to get censorship approval to print the news or they were closed. fact!

Patton wanted to go ahead and squash Russia while the iron was on their soil. Took a long time to see he was right. How long was the cold war???

The fact is, they got ***** for one reason - intelligence gained from enhanced interrogation techniques in Gitmo. This is where they uncovered the identity of the courier that ended up leading them to the compound. ***** has made no secret of his plans to shut down Gitmo, and in fact HAS ended water boarding. Thank you George Bush for your policies that resulted in this event. Thank you Obama for not totally screwing it up and signing off on the mission.

Bush carried the ball to the one yard line. Obama punched it in. Now the cheerleaders are carrying Obama off the field on their shoulders.

Bush never got the ball and carried it to the one yard line, he got the ball and took it to the toilet and dropped it in. All the time he was in office he wasn't nothing but a foul up, he valued being rough and tough and loud more than he did being smart, deliberate and cunning. His biggest mistake was being short sighted and only listening to the counsel of a very few that all had the same view. That being said I am an American first and on 9/ 11 we saw thousands of our fellow citizens murdered in a cowardly act and the one that orchestrated it was brought to justice. If Bush had succeeded I would have been more than happy to give him credit for bringing ***** to justice, but he never, instead in an interview he dismissed his search in a sour grapes attitude. I hope that in reality he never gave up his pursuit. Although some things was accomplished that could be considered positive [but that is debatable], he shouldn't have went back to lick his daddies calf over he should have finished licking his own calf first while he had the support of the UN.

My point in my postings was an event happened that should have rallied USA together knowing that justice was delivered to a murderer of many of our citizens. Instead of the unity that we should have had over this, instead we got puny blind partisanship. Patriotism and Citizenship should have been way before partisanship in this particular instance.

I have read where some on here get their news from fox, you don't get your news from fox you get told what to believe, expose yourself to a broad array of news sources so you can make a more informed opinion on what is going on.
