Oil & Fuel Is it complicated to drain fuel tank on 3320?

Does the engine and transmission oil need some attention before starting a 3720 that has been sitting for 5.5 years?
I wouldn't think so stored the way it was. It wasn't even in the sun where the hoses and tire walls would get weather checked. But changing every drop of every fluid in it and every filter would be cheap insurance and give the happy new owner a fresh start.

I'd say not necessary before moving it, other than checking the level of each.

No dealer close by.
Was looking for online supplier of JD parts.
Not about to feed a Deere something it doesn't like.

A 'close by' dealer is all relative to your circumstances. My dealer is 2 hrs away so I have to factor in at least 4 hrs travel time + however long I'm at the dealership. It's worth it as they have a great reputation and have proved it, both in their shop & mobile 'in the field' maintenance.

So, barring an emergency, I simply incorporate a visit to them in with a trip to the Big Smoke for other supplies that I can't get locally.

Wow, 18 posts and no mention of pictures. Boy, you guys are really getting soft. :p Ok Max, let see pictures of the beast.
I don't actually own it yet - doing paperwork - intermediary - etc.

this is pic of it just before going into hibernation I believe. Pics I took of her when i went to look at her don't do her justice all dirty and in cramped quarters.
Once we finalize and she is on my property ( after a good thorough checkup and gone through - and YES beenthere with OEM parts -) then I can add more.

I hope I loaded these properely.

Wagtail I agree with you - it's all relative to your needs and the value you put on something. I am a firm believer in you get out what you put in and if my dealer is an hour and a half away that's just what it will take to do the right job.

I was kinda hopping for that to be the case so I could get her home then plan a trip to the doc. The dealer about an hour and a half away quoted $600 to $700 to a off factory floor kinda service and I drop her to them - that seems reasonable.

By the way THANKS again for all the input and good info from everyone it helps to make decisions.
