Apple. Good for pies, sauces, fritters and turnovers.

Apple fritters :licking:

How does everyone cook them? I always like Gravenstein apples the best. I batter them, and fry in a light amount of oil. Then brown sugar and honey topping. :licking:

Yep, it's been a very stable platform.

Just like buying a new vehicle or tractor. There are things you don't like. If you change them quickly they get changed. If you delay, you convert and they don't get changed.

If the format here is changed we don't have choice number 1. So we'll conform. Those that cannot will move on. One poster on this thread has already said his goodbyes. :)

It like, need a FEL, but they cost too much and cause in time front suspension issues or just do it the with a pond scoop that takes a little longer. Still gets er' done.

The terminology might be inaccurate but it's a very valid concern. A friend sees major damage in front axles of small loader tractors all the time. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you aren't destroying your equipment.

Avoiding owning an FEL because of front axle fears should be reserved for those unwilling to learn how to properly operate a tractor. After paying sufficient tuition, some actually learn. Part of that process could involve understanding what a suspension actually is.

Not all front axles are created equal. Only time will really reveal the truth.

Look at the history of tractors. They are designed all wrong to carry weight up front. Any company that built commercial forklifts, using a tractor, stuck them on the back for very good reasons.

Calling a 5R a compact is stretching conventional wisdom a bit. But if you accept that, front suspension has been offered on large Ag tractors for many years.

But avoiding having a FEL on the tractor, would be bad for your business. You wouldn't have to change so many front wheel seals, bearings and bushings so often... :)
