Is it time to reorganize?

The L thing has been talked to death. We keep hoping it stays dead, but somebody always brings it back, like a Frankenstein movie. Or a Star Wars movie.

Well I haven't seen any talk on the L thing. And honestly for me it's not a deal breaker. If it was there I would use it. Since it isn't.....

Well, I for one, didn't vote as it does not matter to me. Today's Post does everything I need.

My daily routine is...
1.) Log In
2.) Check "My Home" for updates to threads I'm subscribed to.
3.) Browse "Today's Posts".
So in the end, any changes to the sections probably wouldn't affect me that much anyway.

I do the exact same thing.

Appreciate the fact check. Over the 15 year period, I presume there was some absence. I have seen the user post 70, 80 times per day. Looks like maybe 25-30 lately.

I resemble an old fart and as such, I dislike change. Faithfully read the Ranger Station Forums until they changed it to much and made it to hard to read.

Question 1: Why is it that "old" people don't like change?

Question 2: What is an "old" people?

Personal opinion: I like change when that change brings a benefit. Like for instance the USA going to the metric system I didn't like "hope and change"

As for the proposed forum change, I don't see it effecting my usage of the forum, so I am ambivalent about it. If the administration thinks it will help or make life easier, then fine, do it.

I didn't even know there was a "todays posts" and doubt that I would use it if I did. I just emptied out my "subscribed" folder tonight, which is something else that I don't see the use for. I hope that we don't get that stupid "L" button, I don't really see the need. If somebody wants to show their approval just go :thumbsup:. If the forums become a contest to see who can get the most "likes" it will be a lot less appealing place to visit.


Plus I'm old, and set in my ways.
