I know where you are coming from, I bought my tractor after driving a different tractor on the lot ( the one I drove got sold after my test drive). When I went back to purchase they didn't have one on display, when I got back home I got a call and they told me they had one but it wasn't listed in their inventory and had been in the back lot. When I went to look at it, after giving the verbal "go ahead" to start the purchase, it was being washed and when I looked at the hour meter I saw it had 8 hrs on it, after questioning why the 8 hours, I was told that it actually had been used as a trailer mover on the lot (they sold trailers too). I almost didn't buy, BUT it was exactly what I was wanting and it was the last year before Tier IV, and they agreed that the warranty started at time(hours) of purchase and they comped me a set of filters for the first service. Because tractors are not used like cars I feel like some dealers take a little more liberties with their inventory.
