Is TBN too "family friendly" for your tastes?

Interesting to see what it takes to close a post here at TBN anymore (ie. costume thread). Its just not for me anymore. I have enjoyed many folks comments here over the years. I'll check my messages now and then, but really have little to contribute since going tractorless (although I am using bigger equipment then I have ever owned routinely). Thanks, guys and Rox. Well I for one like it the way it is. It reminds me of the closest little town to me Elfrida. There is one cafe in town and in the middle of the room is one big table sits about 8 or 10. Thats where all the local. farmers, ranchers well drillers ect go for their morning coffee. If you want to know how to do anything or who to get to help you you go there and just sit for a while.

Afternoon RaT,
I would hate to see anyone leave the forum over a disagreement or trivial baloney ! If there is a poster that I have severely differing views with I just tend to avoid or not get in any big debates. Im by nature not a confrontational person so this works for me ! To me TBN is a community that I have numerous friendships with a number of posters, and manage to share a laugh with on a regular basis ! Obviously the bond that ties us together is tractor ownership, but after youve been here for awhile, and obviously thats you, its a bond of common interests and friendship and oh yes, respect ! You get to know who the posters are that add some real valuable info to the net and you gravitate to their posts ! In any event I will miss your posts and hope you do check in on a somewhat regular basis !

Although sometimes the limitations are irritating, I also prefer the "family values" of TBN. There are plenty of forums to visit that are pretty much a free for all. You've got to have a thick skin though...
Now, this post is from a Navy vet who is quite political and cusses like a sailor. If I can hack it (and I have for 5 or 6 years now), anybody can...

Sometimes it is hard to define where to draw the line between "family friendly" or not. Remember, the posts that you see in a thread such as the "costume thread" are ones that are considered "family friendly" because the posts that go too far are completely deleted, usually with the whole thread being deleted. That thread, while most of us considered the part we saw to be "family friendly", was definitely headed downhill and I believe it was closed to prevent it from having to be deleted altogether.
