Thanks for all the replies guys. I was hoping to find out if there were testers out there and if so if they were affordable. The main reason I was looking is so I could walk up to a trailer out back, hook the tester up and find out what I needed to know. The one tester is way out of my price range but I did find the truck side testers that will help me quickly and easily check my trucks. It wasn't about being able to do it other ways, it was about finding a quick, easy way to do it without much hassle. Wouldn't we all rather just plug the trailer into a tester and find out where the problem is instead of using helpers (human or wood) or jacking up trailers and killing a half hour? It looks like either I do it the old fashioned way or try to build a tester like Chris did.
I currently only have two trailers but I use 4 other trailers that don't belong to me. So a simple tester that I could carry in the truck would have been great as I never know where I am going to be when I have to pick a trailer up. It was all about convience
