The $100 kit is not just a plug in. Would include curcuit breakers, wiring, etc (instructions geared to a Deere tractor). The Deere 3 prong plug does not have to be used, it comes standard on current Deere tractors, utility size and larger. You can simply cut that plug in off and use any style plug in that you desire. A three port style is nice because you would have a live as well as a keyed wire if you hooked it up in that fashion.

Thanks for posting the pic. And, yes, I realize that the wires and breaker come in the "kit", but my NH TN70A has a fused power outlet, as well as a standard 7-pin trailer plug. The NH power outlet is just not the same as the JD. Since I don't have any other equipment that requires 12v power, I just wanted to change the plug to match my JD tractor and baler.
I may never use the NH to bale with, since it is a open station tractor, but I just wanted that option. For instance, if I have hay ready to bale and the JD has a flat tire. I would have to carry a tractor tire 20 miles to get it repaired. If I have a tractor flat from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning, there is nowhere to get it fixed around here.
