Is there an R2 Tire Tread?

I know what R1 tires are, and R3 tires, and R4 tires.
Is there an R2 tire tread? What does it look like.

There is a R-2 tread. It is used in wet farming (mud/standing water) application. The tread is twice as deep as the standard R-1 tread. While the R-2 tread looks extremely aggressive, the typical 45 degree bar angle is maximized for cleaning in wet soils and is not as efficient for developing traction as R-1's.

There is also a R-1W tread which originated in Europe and has a 20% deeper skid depth than the R-1 tire. They are designed for better highway wear.

So basically an R2 is a more aggressive version of the R1 tire.

R-2's are commonly referred to as "Rice tires" or "Rice & Cane" tires

I think I have a photo of R-2's on a Kama tractor like mine.

If you go to the Firestone site, you might want to look at their logging tires. they look like ags or R4s, but the ply rating is on the high side of 10 -- way high in some cases -- and there are some treads you won't see in other places.

There's also a variant of turf tire, but I cant find them. Their tread looks like a bunch of square or rectangular "blocks" some are even diamond shaped. Like beefier verions of the pillow turf tires you normally see.

You may be thinking of the XM27 radials?
