I see a few of you are having a good laugh....that's ok.....many others see exactly what my issue is and I can tell you understand where I'm coming from. I work dang hard and I like to buy quality stuff and am willing to pay more for it....If I didn't care what my machine looks like, I could have found a used Murray to mow my yard with for $250. I bought my tractor to work my property, but ultimately this new machine is an expensive luxury toy and I could have easily used the money for something else.
I'm just getting sick of watching the quality of products continue to go down and everyone wondering why this country is in so much trouble.....I cannot count the number of times where I bent over backwards to help the customer, to make them happy, and to keep their business. Yea, it cost me some money, but I cannot put a price on what amount of long term business I saved by doing the right thing. Now its my turn to be the customer and get what I expect and what I paid for.
This machine is a fancy toy and sits right next to my tricked out boat and my custom built ATVs in my fully finished and heated "toy box" garage on the epoxied floor. Yea, Maybe I expect a little more then most....If I was running a landscaping business and having 8 different guys run this machine each day or if I was spreading manure, maybe things would be different, but still, why is sub-par quality ok ever....period.
I currently have no issue with my dealer unless they caused the scratches....My salesman has been pleasant and helpful thus far. I gave him one chance to come up with solutions and his answer to send me a can spray paint is unacceptable. Now I'm giving them another chance to take care of this. I have asked for a new wheel and a new loader and if the salesman cannot make it happen, I asked him to have the owner contact me so we can discuss. This is a very big dealer that sells a lot of Kubotas, if he wants to help me, I think he can. I do not see any reason why the Kubota rep cannot policy credit the cost to the dealer to ship another loader in and they can use mine on a unit going to a less particular buyer like a school district or something.
As far as being a pain-in-the-*** customer.....I don't see it like that...only asking for what I paid for in new condition, nothing more. If a tractor salesman cannot appreciate that, then I guess he will have to sell a few more $250,000 combines to make up for his aggravating home owner customers, or pick a different line of work.
