I was unable to free the cap. I really don't want to round out the allen hole in it:D .. Sooo I put it back together enough to finish the other three anchor holes..( I'll take some pics and post them later today).

Thanks for your interest guy's. Rob your pics confirms it's an outlet, but who ever put it together..grrrr.

I do know better then to apply heat to unknown oil filled units.. but i was getting stressed out. I only have so much time to do anything., and I've got so many jobs to do..Yes I know I'm not the only one who's busy  thanks for your suggestions Kevin and John.

Got all the holes ready for anchors and after I get them set up and the holes backfilled I'll pull the manifold and bring it to work with me tomorrow..

By the way it's a Taylor way 766, it's Italian made and this is the first time I've used it:mad: ..oh well I'll let ya know how I make out..

The way to find the relief valve is to stall the hydraulic system in some way ( ie: tip of boom against treeand try to sweep right or left), then feel around the valve bank till you feel something vibrating or buzzing. See if you can find an assembly manual, so you know what you are dealing with, dont mess with it unless its only a stuck cap. With your stuck cap, try putting a pipe style ez out in it and put a wrench on it. If you strip it, mig weld a nut to the cap, but don't put more than 2 spots of weld, you don't want to overheat anything.:D :D

then pulled the manfold asm off-(of course I marked all the lines!) it will go to work with me tomorrow. I run a auto repair shop. Hopefully the cap will come off..;) I wonder if it has some kind of lock mechanism? It can't be that tight, unless as was noted, the installer epoxied it on..

I'll post my results, thanks again guys.....tim

Got the plug off, had a few copper washers here at work, cleaned the mating surface and tightened it up.. head of plug not flush with manifold mating surface ???? got another plug and washer installed--still the same.. original machine work is somewhat shoddy..

Took the unit to a tool and die shop, Wayne, the owner, of the shop said no problem, he'll have it ready tomorrow.. I did not ask how much..I'll be in touch

It's a 3pt but I made a subframe for it.. I only paid 3700.00 total new, so can't whine about some minor problems.. ;)

Took very little time to dig my anchor holes, and it picked up some hefty rocks..no complaints there, or with the body, it is heavy( over 1000lbs) and solid made:) and it came with it's own pump..

When I decided to go with this one it was after much thought. I expected some problems due to price..rarely do we get something for nothing .. am I right:eek:

It's called a pipe barn, this one is four stall horse barn..24x36 with a 12' center aisle. It's sold as a portable building..seems plenty rugged to me.
I think it's from a company called Horse sense building frames. They supply the pipes and hardware and instructions.. We supply wood, siding , roofing and screws, some bolts-nuts etc. Since it's "portable" no footings..just anchors...A friend put a couple two stall units up we saw them and decided to go this route for 'horse boarding'

Wow. That's the kind of machining there is just no excuse for! Would never have picked that as the problem. I know that QA processes are now done by consumers when they get a busted product, but surely whoever screwed the plug in must have noticed! Absolutely stunning!

Hope this is the end of the problems - have you checked the rest of the block & machining? Be a PITA to get it back and discover this was only 1 of n crooked surfaces!

Cheers
/Kevin
