Over the winter I broke the eye off of one of the quick attach holders. I went to jdparts and was surprised at how reasonable the cost was to replace it. Then I picked it up and was disgusted. I can't believe they want me to put this on my nice 4410 tractor. Looks like somebody just cobbled it up in a home made workshop. Please tell me the cast one can still be ordered. I live in Canada. Would I be able to get one in the US. Any help would be great. I will try to attach pics

Does it say "made in China" on it?

Perhaps you could punch the part number into Ebay to find an original cast piece?

That doesn't even look like the same part. Sure its for the same tractor??

You did break the cast one. Maybe the new part will last longer.:D
You can be well assured that the cast part would cost a lot more.

It looks like one is cast and the other is steel. I would take my chances with a steel one. At least that would bend before it break, I would think.

Without knowing what grade of steel was used for the replacement part, it could very easily be stronger than the original casting. I would not automatically discount it.

The 210 loader had steel and the new 200 is cast..

Which is better? I agree, looks like the wrong replacement item.

i have to agree with the others. Doesnt look poorly constructed, and probably stronger than the original assuming it fits.

Deere switched from the steel ones to cast (about 10 years ago), and from info on TBN there was more breakage with the cast. They were not as forgiving when hitting something without the bucket or forks on the arms.
I'm glad I have the fabricated steel ones, and that looks like what you rec'd.

But confirm to us that the cast one pictured is the broken, and the fabricated is the one you are not happy with. :)

That was a big issue back a few years ago with those cast carriers breaking. Mine never broke but I complained to dealer that I wanted replacement parts on my shelf not theirs, when mine goes and breaks on a weekend, in the middle of a project.

So they ordered me them at no charge, My originals never broke but I swapped them out and used the old carriers to make a odd ball front implement carrier for 3pt QH

My replacements were cast as well, just a little beefier where needed.

I agree with others, the cold rolled may hold up better than cast, I wouldn't be afraid of them. You shouldn't of had to pay for them as it was a known issue. Unless you had the improved cast ones already.

JB.
