Iseki TS1910 or TS1610 owners?

Welcome. Your tractor looks to be in good shape, and you obviously get a lot of good use out of it with those two implements. And yes, it is a TS1910. Seems to be a lot of parts still available for that Isuzu engine.....they must have used it in some industrial / commercial applications too. I rebuilt the top end of mine from rod bearngs to piston rings to rocker arms and shaft. Turns out I really only needed the rocker arms and shaft, but it sure runs like a new one ;)

Thanks for the welcome, Bill. These tractor forums can be cold and lonely when you have an off-brand like mine!

So, is Iseki the chassis manufacturer and Isuzu makes the engines? Is that how it goes?

Yes, that's right. Back in the late '70's, early '80's Bolens contracted with Iseki (which also made CUT's for Massey, White and more recently the Cat Challenger series) to supply various CUT and sub-CUT models that have either an Isuzu motor or Mitsubishi motor (generally the smaller units). However, there are differences between the made-for-USA market Bolens models and the made-for-Japanese market (grey-market) Isekis. Things like 2-spd. PTO vs 4-spd., has a t-stat in the USA models, slightly different sized wheels and tires, different mfr. fuel injector pump, power steering option, and other differences I can't think of now.

Thanks for that info, Bill. What does "CUT" stand for?

I had no intention of buying a Bolens when I began looking for a tractor. I was heart-set on a John Deere. Turns out the only JD item I could afford was a t-shirt. The name seems to equate to a higher price tag, for sure. This Bolens was a great deal, and I paid less for it with the plow and mower than many JDs in a similar power range sell for without any implements at all.

I have not yet really put it to work, only finish mowing with it. I'd like to get a bush hog for my field and some ground engaging implements to help me plant and make some drainage ditches over the summer. Hopefully, the 19hp will do what I want to do!

"CUT" = compact utility tractor.....the smaller variety of tractors, usually (but not necessarily) diesel. My TS1610F (16-hp PTO, 19-hp engine) is pretty much a dedicated rototiller. Here's a link showing me tilling along the front yard/street border. I have a lot more to till in the backyard. I'l never beat myself up on a walk-behind tiller again :) :

Very nice.

So, let me ask you. A tiller can be run right over unprepared ground and it will churn up the grass/roots and the earth? I have thick clay soil and there are many areas/reasons why I'd like to till, but I wasn't sure if you need to strip the grass and whatnot first...?

A couple months ago I tilled up the whole front yard of that house on the right hand street corner that you see in the video. It tilled through the turf (mostly dead grass and weeds) like butter....only I did request that he water it good before I did it. Your turf may vary..haha.

What kind of tiller do you have, and what's the soil like in your area?
