Good for you. If they fit your needs, then you did well. How much did you get them for?

Bid price was 4600 and 4300, after commissions, tax, title etc I think I'm at 10,500 for both. I have to insure them as commercial trucks by weight, but insurance seems to cost the same as a pickup.

I've gotta say, I love how the HD drives. Much more responsive off the line than my '96 7.4 dually pickup, and not much - if any - mileage penalty. It has the taller 19.5 tires and lower gear ratio but the cruising RPM at 65 is the same for both... probably a better first gear in the HD trans?

Its also nice a lot of the little parts - bolt on engine parts/heat/ac/dash parts/interior bits all interchange with light duty trucks.

Already did 2 jobs last week and darn near filled the box both times. Didn't even squat when we loaded an 1100 lb compressor, forklift battery chargers, and other stuff.

Looking into building some adjustable e-track shelving for bulky, light items. Anyone have any suggestions?

I had a friend who put shelving in a trailer and the balance was all wrong. I would think that would be less of a concern in your trucks.
