Get the cutting edge. It will help to prevent the bucket from bowing and provides a better edge too. My heaviest bucket is bowed due mostly to no edge on it. I will never do that again. Welded is best, but somewhat inconvenient come next edge, which is years down the road unless all you do is heavy bucket work. Then you should have a different machine anyway. My bolted one seems to be good. It is a quality edge that is the same as one for a skidsteer. I don't know much about them. I just know I had a good one put on. It's holding up well with occasional use at about a thousand hours. Though I have way, way more hours on the bale spear than the bucket.
I don't like the Turkish case/new hollands. The Italian ones, maybe. 75 grand in my neck of the woods before the canadian dollar dropped. 80 grand for an M108S and the JD "E"'s are not in the same league, IMO. These were dealer starting prices. I didn't even bother to go further with those guys once I saw the Kioti. The 70hp Kubota is a nice little tractor, but I'd rather have one of the Kioti RX models for sure. Heavier duty. More capacity. More features. No brainer.
I'm curious how the wet clutch and reverser work in yours. Mine's dry. No issues and until I go lame, I have no issues with a clutch. I have driven reverser tractors and I and some others I know use the clutch anyway. It's smoother unless the reverser is really good, then it's just as smooth but requires slightly more work. Potatoe potato for me.
