Amazingly with this Texas heat, I was able to harvest 4 watermelon today. Rest of garden is burnt to a crisp, but the watermelon is going strong. Planted 6 hills. Lots more on the way.... hope I get more harvest. This hot and this dry is brutal. If the heat keeps up, I prob won't get more melons.

I hear you CTF, we had a hot sunny day today, it got over 60 F today for the second time this summer. I got so hot picking the net I had to go for a quik dip in the ocean, cools you right off.

Yesterday, we set a new record - 37C/98.6F, and with humidity factored, it hit 50C/122F!!

Man, that humidity was a killer. I can tolerate the heat, and I LOOOOOOOvE the cold, but Humidity is where i draw the line.

Even here we havent been below 33 degrees c this week with a few days up around 36-37 with humidex in the mid 40's. Back in the high 20's today with a much needed rain forecast but nasty strong winds . Have had less than 2 inch since thaw and nothing since end of may ! crops are really suffering from the dry .

Welcome to the middle east... Don't complain, our troops are fighting in temps much hotter than anywhere in the United States. Spent last winter in the Philippines, heat like this every day in Dec, Jan & Feb (little A/C). Learn how to dress properly.

Mid-Michigan has had temps of 91-98 degrees most of the last week, with humidity ranging from 41 to 64 percent. Thankfully it has been dry enough I don't have to mow more than one day a week... back during April and May it was raining so much I never had a chance to mow more than a day a week. And I actually NEEDED to mow 6 days a week then.
