Tractor
Kubota L3830 (just sold), Cub Cadet LT46 riding mower.
Bought a Kubota L3830 about 10 months ago to do some landscaping projects around the new house that sits on 1 acre. Spread about 500 yards of cinder and about 800 yards of soil, as well as helping me do a bunch of other small chores. Put it on Craigslist last week and found some buyers right away. I bought it for a great price, so I ended up making a little bit of profit in selling it. Had another buyer willing to pay $1,000 more, but I had already promised it to someone else and the guy I sold it to was a really nice taro farmer who will use it the was it was meant to be used (the guy who offered more seemed really arrogant and only wanted it to mow around the edges of his pasture). I知 not hurting for money, so I知 happy with the sale.
I did a full fluid and filter change when I bought the Kubota and it ran like a champ while I owned it, never complaining or needing anything other than diesel and a little grease on the zerk fittings.
All I got left is my cub cadet riding lawn mower, but little does my wife know I知 already searching craigslist for my next tractor...

You sound like my father. He was always buying something right, using it for a while and selling it. Sometimes it was a tool that he used like a bulldozer or haying equipment; other times it was a toy like his old "53 GMC pickup, John Deere L or his Model A.
Are you going into something a little smaller this time? Another option would be to buy a piece of land, where you need something like the 3830 to take care of it.

Looking for a bx series or some other scut. Land prices are too high right now to buy acreage, but that would be nice. Maybe I’ll end up getting a Jeep or something to play around with.

There is a local farmer that always has near new equipment and farms 2-3000 acres. He shops nationwide and buys equipment a few years old with low hours. He has a trucker buddy that checks it out and hauls it for him. He keeps a few things around, but most is gone within 2-3 years. I was talking to him one day and he said that he comes out ahead by buying right, not having a bunch of maintenance needed and selling right. He also has an accountant that knows how to handle equipment depreciation and expenses.

Glad your tractor served you well and "rehomed" it to a good family..
