There's always metal-core to throw a loop in the system. ;) You want fast? Try some Innershield NS3M(E70-T4) I burned some 3/32" at about 400 amps and went through a 50 pound coil in less than than 2 1/2 hours. I could have turned it hotter too. You can get it in 1/8" as well. With the 3 /32" I could lay a bead about 1/2" wide moving my hand pretty quick. Slag comes off real easy and it is almost as smooth as sub-arc. If you get arc blow is another story.

The wire that was $55 was Uni-Braze. They sold lots of it. It's made in China but for $15 a roll cheaper, it works just as good.

Lifes full of choices. I choose to keep the guys up in Hawkesbury Ontario working making wire. Plus, buying AL wire keeps a good relationship with my LWS, who gave me a heck of a deal on the new machine.

For $15 savings, and the above reasons, chicom wire won't be on my machine. If AL closes the Hawkesbury plant and begins offshoring, then I will consider other options.

Apparently they have closed the Hawkesbury warehouse. Don't know about the wire plant.
