What is the cost of renting a machine the size of that track hoe in your area? I’m not even sure there is someplace to rent one here but I sure would like one for a weekend of stumping.

I think that the one I had was 275 a day, but that's not the route I took. I knew a guy that runs a landscape material business and his trackhoe wasn't getting much use that week. He came out and ran it for one day and then left it for me for the rest of the week. I paid him a flat fee. The stumping took about three days and I burned for about five days. It worked out to about 200 dollars a day for the 7 days I had it.

You have got one beautiful piece of land there!!! WOW! I live in OHio, and although I love where I live it does not have the beauty of that place...OK does my jealousy show too much!

WOW! That's super cheap for an excavator that size. Our JD 120C excavators go for 375 a day plus delivery (depends on where you're at) and a JD200LC goes for I think 500 a day. COOL PICS! I'm sure that was fun!

It really wasn't priced by the day. I paid a flat fee, but since he had some time between jobs he let me use it for a week. It was fun. I don't think I could have done the same amount of work with the JD120. It makes me want to buy more land just so I can rent one again /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Oh I see what you mean...didn't read it clearly! LOL. Yeah, excavators are really fun to drive, it's so weird sitting in something as large as a 200. I'm sure you can find something to rent another excavator for, if not that size something like a 120 size /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
