Buying Advice It's the Wife - Please help! :)

I have an L4240 and a Bush Hog squealer which is a medium duty. I really like it. Mine is 5 foot only because I bought is so my brother could use it with an 8N. I would get a 6 foot unit. I have a slip clutch and really like not having to work with shear bolts. With slip clutch you spend a little more. If it sits you will have to loosen bolts and slip the clutch to make sure it is not rusted together which would defeat purpose.

Some people would say it's a woman thing, they just want to use us men but being a Family/Marriage Counselor I'm not going to say it or even agree with anyone that does.

My two cents, too many responders admonished her not to buy it herself but let him pick it. She didn't ask advice on that; only which cutter(s) to consider buying. I think she finally tuned out. She alone knows her husband best. That said, I'd like to know the outcome too, but don't blame her for not posting back.

Gentlemen,

I want to buy my husband a bush hog and/or a harley rake for our anniversary.
He has a L4240 we bought new in 2008. I need recommendations on brands/models and pros/cons of both.
He has mentioned several times that he wants these, but has never purchased.
Rapid responses are GREATLY appreciated - our anniversary is today and he already got me a FANTASTIC gift....

Since you didn't include a comma in the figure I am guessing that you also left a trailing zero off ?

She was posting on the day of her anniversary, so there are plenty of possible reasons for not posting back.

There is no way I am going to help a friend's wife pick a surprise cutter for him unless I truly have the inside info on exactly what he wants, and I can get it returned effortlessly. Although her husband is not my friend, I tried to treat him like one. So, I did my best for her husband on his anniversary, which was her goal, so that should not make us opposed.

I hope he had a very happy anniversary.
