Its time for a new blue. Which one for me?

Well, my neighbors chased off all the deer this morning, so I guess I'll take a run into Arcade to see what Larry's got there. Sheridan is a bit far for me to go, although I've been there.

Is there any reason why you are looking at the TN series over the TD series? The TD is not that much bigger then the TN and the red version of the TD has been around here for quite a while now and the farmers who own them love them.

I want the 12x12 power shuttle and i dont know if you cant get it in that TD model and what are the differences again? Why is the H.P. low but a bigger tractor? Why make this model in 75 HP?

The TDD and TT series tractors are no frills, lower priced, basic machines to compete against the 5x03 and 5x05 series from JD, as well as 3rd world tractors such as Mahindra and Farmtrac, just to name a couple. The TDD chassis looks to me to be the old Hesston-Fiat design, it's also a flat deck like the TL series, and is a larger frame than the TN. The engine in the TDD is the older, smaller 238 cid. 4 cyl. that was used in the TL's a few years ago. It is a heavier tractor than the TN, has 12x12 mechanical shuttle transmission.

There is also a TD95. The TB line is also a price line of tractors but larger then the TD line

Im most likely going to stick with the TN75 and will try to get one for $32000 or under with loader and power shuttle. Nobody seems to have one on the yard to get rid of so i may wait till spring and hope they have some.

Roto-We have a small acreage with horses and because I can get good round bales from my neighbor cheap, I talked with my friendly NH dealer that I have purchased 2 previous tractors from and he fixed me up with a TN60A, radial tires, 12x12 synchro shuttle shift(very smooth and easy), oversized hydraulic pump, maximum rear weights, mid mount valve, 2 rear valves, grill guard, 32LC 72" loader, bale spear, pallet forks, all for list of 37,650, with "free" 3 year financing. The kicker for me was he gave me 22,150 trade in for my TC33D that I have a receipt for from 5/2000 that says I got it for 17,500, and it had 250 hours, FEL and MMM when I traded. I'm happy, the TN picks up 1600# bales on the spear, manages round bales fine for us, and with only 26 hours I can't complain. Occasionally feels big for me but I'm still learning and have gradually increased tractor sizes from my first Kubota 7200 in '85. Regards-Bill.

Mike, I cannot imagine a new one will get any cheaper next year.
