Chuck, thanks for laying out your rationale. Makes sense to me for your needs and what your dealer could do for you. My dealer, back in January, made the B3030 too tempting vs the B7800 (and the B7510 I initially looked at), so that's what I went with. I like the "deluxe" features, but I know I paid for them! Also, the price delta was not quite that large with my dealer as you found out your way.cerescobra said:Lindy,
I did not demo the B3030 because the local dealer only carries them with cabs. He feels that the tractor is too pricey compared with the B7800 and B2920. That said, I did price the B3030 at a couple of other dealers and found it to be $2-3K higher priced. I felt the B7800 provides all I need and is a much better value from my perspective. It seems the only additional features for the B3030 over the B7800 are the "premium" items like tilt wheel, etc. and the position control vs. quarter inching valve for the 3 pt. control. My neighbor has a B3030 and loves it. I'm sure I will love my B7800 as well.Chuck
After mowing with the 60" deck a bit, I'm having buyer's regret. I'm thinking I probably should have gone with the 72" deck instead.
Anyhow, congrats again -- enjoy the tractor!
