I have a Kubota B2410, a compact tractor... not big, but not small either.

Does anyone know of a jack (preferably hydraulic) that would be suitable for lifting the rear wheels of a tractor that size, but that might also be suitable for cars and pickups?

Thanks!

My tractor weighs 3600-lbs (+filled rear tires) and I use a 3-ton floor jack. Works fine.

My JD 4600 weighs in at 5,450 w/tires filled. My F-350 is about the same and I also have a 3 ton jack, works just fine. Good Luck

Same here and I always position the jack under the drawbar bracket.

Your B isn't too far different in weight from my 4010, about 2200 # with the FEL. I just use one of my floor jacks either under the drawbar (to lift the whole rear) or to each side to lift one wheel (have to remove one to get to the hydraulic filter). It's the same jack (from any of the big box stores) that I use to lift corners of my cars or pickup (heaviear is the pickup at 3500 #).

Here is a hydraulic jack that works just fine. A bit pricey however.

When you folks use a floor jack or bottle jack to raise one or both of the back wheels do you use jack stands when working or do you find that things are stable and safe enough with just the jack?
Thanks

I use jack stands to hold it in place. Everyone should use something besides the jack.

You can also build a simple 3pt tractor jack patterned from the old Ferguson 3pt jack... see the attached picture.
With it you can lift the back or back and front of a tractor using only the 3pt...KennyV

I use 'em too and I should have noted that in my post.
