Hello,

I think I resolved the lifting problem - the leaking PS caused the problem. After I closed the oil pipe with a screw, the hyd pressure problem resolved, the 3 point is lifting as before.

And - the steering is working match easyer - manually, but easyer, probably the oil pressure pressed the damaged PS pieces and this caused the hard working. Sometimes I will open the pipe and let to flow to oil in the PS column - for the lubrication. I will search somewhere a second hand PS column, than I will replace it.

Now I will order 30 litre (7-8 gallons) of JD Hy-Gard oil, than I change the oil from hyd system and also the filter too.

After I refill the system with a good quality JD Hy-gard oil - sholud be spectacular changes of the function of the hyd system?

I dont understand something which may be important for the working of the hydraulicView attachment 459877View attachment 459878.

Its about the cover which can be seen on the picture. Piece nr. 3 from the scheme is gasket, on it there is a rectangular hole. When I removed, this hole and under the hole the calliber was also filled with red silicone paste.

When I fixed it back, I did not refill with silicone, I left it empty. The cover gasket now is leaking a little bit, but I will repair it again.

I dont understand the way of the high pressure hyd oil how it is flowing under the power steeling column boreholes.

1. The oil comes from the high pressure oil pump, enters in the PS cylinder, than the used oil flows out across a calliber from the cylinder....

2. Under the cilynder base there are two callibers in the alloy, one off the callibers flows down to the transfer case, the second calliber outlet flows into the cavity under the cylinder.

3. Has to come out but the cover gasket does not let it to flow out....the cover close it.

And than from where does collect the oil in the cavity. In the cavity there is no plug-hole than how does it work??? Beside of this the cavity was full of oil mud and water.

May in the gasket be high pressure? Or only low pressure oil flow. Can also this cause problems?

There should be oil behind this cover. It is low pressure from the steering column. It lubes the parts inside. There should be an overflow hole that maintains the oil level behind this cover and allows the extra to drain back into the transmission for reuse.

Thanks for update. It sounds as if you're making progress.

The transmission pump - AR96662 - where can you find an the tractor, backside, on the transfer case? And what is its function - does press oil for the transfer lubrication, or is it feeding with oil the high pressure pump in the front, or what?!

Trans pump is located at the frt of trans. case in clutch housing. Trans pump lubes transmission, supplies operating oil pressure for hyd ind pto,hyd hi-lo or hyd reverser then excess oil is sent to ft hyd pump

Hi...

I have JD Hy-Gard Oil.... When I will clean the check sump screen - are there any little pieces which can cause problems? Or are difficult to put back to their position?

I think I will unscreew the sump screen, clean it and than put it back, and its ready?!

Cleaning sump screen is relatively easy & straight forward after oil is drained except in rare occasions when screen is very, very dirty.

What is the exact function of that sump screen - is it filtering, draining, or thas it colect the oil mud...? Or, does it have another function?

What I can see on the scheme is a part of the filter tube?
