I have the opportunity to buy a John Deere 1050 4wd compact utility with No. 80 loader for less than a $1,000. The tractor needs a clutch for sure. The motor starts and runs good. The loader operates fine also. Besides the clutch needing to be replaced, the sheet metal front nose is pushed in. Do you think that it would be a good buy for the money?

DON'T DO IT!!!

Send me the contact info, and I'll dispose of that hunk-o-junk for you and the current owner. ;)

I paid nearly 4 times that for a 1050 2wd, no loader, mashed front-end, and bum PTO (thought it was working at the time). I'd buy that tractor at that price just to rob the loader off it!
