Thanks for the reply is this sensor external or internal. My tractor wont even idol anymore started with going up hill now wont even stay running. I will give it a shot for $50.00

Maybe not...

My engine always ran sweet... the problem is the tractor wouldn't move...

The only way I got it back to the barn was using creeping positioning to crawl back.

The sensor is a one wire device that counts flywheel revolutions...

If your engine is having problems it sounds like a different problem... sorry.

Engine issues almost always are fuel related... either restriction on flow... i.e. plugged filters or blockages or contaminated fuel... water etc...

@dids15p - Yes, I solved the uphill stall problem. It turned out to be user error once again. The fuel shut off valve near the top of the fuel filter has two positions labeled: O and l. I got them confused as to whether "O" stood for "On" or "Off" and whether "l" stood for "Closed" like a choke or on. It turned out that I had been operating the machine with the fuel value in the off position for all that time. It apparently lets enough fuel through to be able to operate the machine just fine on flat ground, but when going uphill it would cause the machine to die. Flipping the fuel switch to the other position immediately solved this problem.

Been there and done similar in different circumstances...

Always good to know the fix...

Thank you for posting the follow up!

Thanks Jd110tlbfan for getting back to me. I will check the fuel shut off but it should be in the proper position I haven't touched it in 6 months or so and the tractor was running good up to this point. Does anyone have any idea if their is a suction screen on the inside of the tank?
