Mowing JD 2305 62C Belly Mower Blades

Just purchased a JD 2305 with 62C MM mower, and I have found the blades to be of inferior harden metal. I was using a Kubota BX2200 with 60 MM mower, had hit all kinds of rocks and never really hurt the blades. I tried the same with my JD mower and really dinged the blades bad, not even hitting as many rocks. Please do not get me wrong, I love JD, but I think they are using inferior harden metal for blades.

Question for the group: Are there any after market blades I can substitute for these JD blades?

You could try Gator blades. I used these on my JD757 and they worked fine. To be honest, you will get a better cut out of the original JD blades. I have used both and I think I have hit everything one can hit..... Let us know if you find something better.

Used Deere blades one season on my 62C. Going on the third season with Gators. Would not go back to Deere blades.

Theory; do the JD and Kub mow at the same RPM's??? I banged up my first set of blades the first year. After that I pretty much got all the rocks picked up. Second set is lasting much longer.
