Loader JD 2305 bucket leveler

I made the Bucket leveler shortly after purchasing my 2010/2305. Normally not needed in my opinion, but I was moving a lot of dirt ( 20 ton ) on my pond dam and it came in handy. While turning and adjusting level, I could pull up to the pile and drop- level every time. I have attached a few pics - very simply done.
I used aluminum initially for the level rod but it caught on vines in brush and broke to easy. Now it's steel all thread. A hose clamp holds the bottom "L" bracket with al thread mounted between jam nuts, The top part was tricky- bent channel bracket then drilled hole in "L" bracket and brazed onto channel. Steel pipe thru top "l" bracket is also welded. The steel pipe is supported in the center by a hose clamp and Adel clamp. Thought some might like an idea to play with. Regards, Bill V

Did you buy your machine new? The loaders come with level indicator I thought?

Yeap- brand new Aug 2010, I searched several places trying to purchase one. Gave up and made my own.

The bucket on my 300 has a 4-5 inch flat surface on the top lip which is parallel to the bottom cutting edge.

Very easy to look down and compare the top portion to the ground surface.

Is yours built the same way ?

The loaders come with level indicator I thought?

Yep, sure did. Either on his, someone took it off or never was installed when setup. Should be on the right side just inside the loader frame. Gold color.

Dang, feel like I got a bad deal ( lack of words ). I even called my dealer asking about one. The plate on top of the bucket is the same as you mention. When its close to the ground it's easy to tell when level. But - when up high and lowering, that's when I use the leveler most. Besides---- i was told who died with the most toys on / for the tractor wins. . Now I'm going to obsess over not getting the correct one.

From JD parts my friend (for the 200cx loader), do yourself a favor and learn how to use it There is a link in my signature to help if you need it. That sucks that your dealer had no clue as well.
