Here is what JD sent in an email on Friday. "we have started tearing it down and so far we found that the housing has a piece broke, off there's metal in bearings and at least two gears are bad. We are working on a complete repair quote,but as of now it will run over $3000.00."
I guess its "pie in the sky" thinking, but JD knew they had a problem in this tractor. They beefed up the case the next year. You would think they would stand behind their product and fix at no cost to the consumer. Instead, we have a tractor with 157 hours on it and a busted PTO and they have passed on their product problem to the consumer.
