Decided on the 2520. Went 50/50 on this w/ my neighbor. We both own 10 acres w/ only 1/2 of it needed for mowing. Given the track record of reliability it seemed a bit excessive to each own the same tractor depreciating 90% of the time.
Plan on mowing and moving rocks this weekend!!
I've never owned a tractor, I am Pumped.

Cyafishin , you going to love it.
I love mine. its a beast. it is way..... under estimated..
it will very much out perform its specs. and most machines in its class.
you will be very pleased with it , it has far Exceeded My Expectations
in Hydrolic lifting and power....:)

I too experienced the JD dealer that wouldn't even talk to me.

I went to Case, JD, Kioti and Kubota dealers, and in the end it was the Kubota dealer that got my biz because he took the time (all the time I wanted) to answer my questions and get me into the tractor I wanted.

The JD dealer I went to here in Ohio never even spoke one word to me and that after I was on his lot for at least 15 minutes, running around like a moron sitting on tractors, I know he saw me.

Almost the same with the case dealer I went to. I don't know, it was like they didn't really want to bother with a small timer noob like me since I'm not a big farmer or anything.

The Kioti dealer was okay, I really didn't even give him a chance as I didn't like the looks of the tractors.

In the end tho, the dealer was my deciding factor and I love my 7800.
I'm sure the JD is great too...but the dealers around here are just awful.

yikes I see this as a future issue - splitting ownership of such a nice machine. ah heck splitting ownership or partnership is always a loose/loose and it always turns bad iMHO - friends and family always turn on you in a second. Dont believe me just watch jerry springer or OPrah :)

Good choice and welcome to Green. Splitting a tractor with a non-relative:eek:!

I commend you for being quite neighborly. I wouldn't share my tractor with any of my relatives:rolleyes: - make'em get their own. I hope you got a schedule to work out!

Dealer, smealer, when I got my 4100, the closest JD dealer whom I purchased a lawn tractor from the previous year - treated me like crap on the phone because he found out i was shopping - just liek I did before I originally came to him, so I bought the 4100 at a dealer 30 miles away and it worked out, due to Deere good record on reliability, I never had to bring the tractor in to that dealer and did the routine maintenance myself - win win for me. I got the tractor I wanted at that time and it never dropped the ball!:) You may run into a dealer that is a moron, but that should not make you dump the tractor you really wanted!:D There are more dealers!
