Backhoe JD 300-D backhoe not movin...

have a early 90s jd 300d, starts and runs but will not move, the shaft moves forward and reverse, into the rearend but will not move any help would be greatly appreciated. brian

Can't help with your problem...other than giving your post a little bump up to the top

It sounds like you will need to tear in to the rear end

Which shaft is moving? Do you have the transmission opened up to see shafts? You could have differential problem or one of the stub shafts connecting differential to the axle housing could be sheared off.
