Folks:

Need your advise! I have a JD3020 with 300hours. I applied the parking brake and when released it seems that the parking brake is still not fully released. Also noted that the travel distance when you pull the brake to apply it has decreased.
The tractor will drive but has resistance offered by the brake. Any suggesstions???

Thanks

Your topic says 3320-is it a cab 3320? and does it have the push/pull button near the ignition switch?

Also if it is the knob, I believe but not sure you are supposed to depress the brake pedal while string parking brake. My model tractor has a parking brake lever like you would see in a compact car and does not require depressing brake pedal because it is directly attached. What year is your tractor?

Something similar happened to me with about the same amount of hours. I have a open station and what I found was the linkage from the lever became disconnected under the seat area. It became disconnected because a cotter pin went missing. I ended up taking off the shroud under the seat and put it back together.

I have a 2006 JD 3520-Cab with the parking brake dash-button, and I find you really have to stand on the brake pedals (locked together) and I mean "really" stand on 'em while you manipulate the button in order to get the brakes fully released. Dealer says its standard procedure. Good luck!

The brake lever is on the left side of the seat - sticks out from the floor, very similar to a car.
I have tried depressing the brake while trying to release the parking brake. The push button seems to work fine. Maybe I should try my good old friend WD-40.
Thanks
